We’re lucky to call Toronto home. It’s the kind of city that allows you to explore new cuisines that otherwise wouldn’t be known just by walking a few blocks. But as much as we love the food diversity and creativity; we noticed something was missing which was the further these recipes travel from their roots, the more they begin to fade.

 

By the time a traditional dish reaches the shelf of a major grocery chain, it often gets diluted to make it mass-market safe. We saw culinary lineages get muted into a “one-size fits all” standardized blend. To us, that’s more than just a loss of flavuor, it’s a loss of history. We believe every culture is beautiful exactly as it is, and it deserves to be celebrated without being watered down. Authentiklly is our way of protecting these cultural roots, undisrupted.

 

In our kitchen, we bring you authentic recipes from across the globe without flavour enhancers or substitutions and as they are made in their original homes. We believe in the beauty of the original recipes. We use the same aromatic spices you would find in a family kitchen halfway across the world, paired with the best fresh produce from our very own Canadian farms.
 

We don’t want you to just "make dinner" We want you to take one bite and feel the weight of the tradition behind the meal you are eating. Our goal is for you to think, "so, THIS is what a real tagine tastes like."
